A M+K announcement: Registered Advisors for the NSX
M+K is pleased to announce that Rob Turnbull and Peter Rawling are now Registered Advisors for the National Stock Exchange or NSX.
The NSX provides a market for listing the securities of small to medium sized organisations.
Rob and Peter have guided and advised many clients in relation to venture structure and fundraising, information disclosure and the issue of listing securities, licensing requirements and Corporations Act compliance.

A warm welcome to M+K Musgrave Peach
North Sydney firm, Musgrave Peach Commercial Lawyers,has joined the M+K national group.
This brings M+K's national presence to four offices: Sydney, North Sydney, Melbourne and Dandenong (commercial hub to Victoria's industrial heartland).
Musgrave Peach was founded in 1983. It specialises in commercial law, litigation, property and conveyancing, estate planning and works with insolvency practitioners, accountants and other commercial advisors.
From July 1, 2008 the practice will be called M+K Musgrave Peach Lawyers.

From 1 February M+K will have a Sydney office to support the increasing number of our clients who require interstate representation.
The office is headed by Peter Kemp, a Sydney based commercial lawyer with over 30 years experience, whom we are delighted to welcome as a Principal of our firm. Peter has three dedicated lawyers supporting him.
The Sydney office has expertise in the areas of commercial law, property law, corporations law, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and commercial litigation.

Congratulations to our Wills + Estate Specialist
M+K team member, Naomi Guyett has formally been accredited by the Law Institute as Specialist in Wills + Estate. There are 50 accredited specialists in Victoria.
Accreditation as a specialist is recognition of a person's breadth and depth of knowledge in their field. In wills and estate this comprises of Wills, Powers of Attorney and guardianship matters, Deceased Estate Administration and Will contests/litigation. Congratulations Naomi.

Steven Jerrard announced Chairman of Multilaw
Independent law firm network, Multilaw, has elected Steven Jerrard, Principal of M+K, as its Chairman - the first time an Australian has filled the role. Previously, Steven has been in the network as Asia Pacific Regional Chair for three years.

M+K celebrates 100 years!
Tuesday 04 October 2005, Macpherson+Kelley Lawyers (M+K) celebrated 100 years.
What began as a one-man operation in 1905 when Jeffrey Macpherson purchased the practice is now a thriving commercial law practice with over 100 employees.
The team at M+K toasted the firm's birthday on Tuesday 04 October, which was followed by more robust celebrations attended by more than 200 people under a marquee in Dandenong Park on Saturday 08 October.

Two M+K team members, James Sturgess and Sam Eichenbaum have formally been accredited by the Law Institute as Specialists in Workplace Relations. There are 25 accredited specialists in Victoria.
Accreditation as a specialist is recognition of a person's breadth and depth of knowledge in their field. In workplace relations this comprises of employment law, industrial law, discrimination and occupational health and safety. Congratulations to James and Sam.
